Welcome to Bard Ranch. The clients of this home loved the size of this kitchen, but didn't love all of the pine or the overall style. Removing the tongue and groove ceiling would have have been a massive undertaking as it covered the ceilings throughout the home, so the new kitchen design had to embrace this fixed element. A color palette of white and gray was used to balance the warmth of the wood. The removal of the corner pantry opened up the space allowing for a much larger island. The island design with the table extension served a functional need for the family and a spatial need for the shape of the room.
